Private Instruction

private instructionPrivate sessions are ideal for the yoga enthusiast. They are individually created to meet the participant's needs or goals. Private instruction is also for those students who are interested in deepening their practice in a way that can only be attained through the focus and care of a one on one teacher/student relationship. The teacher guides the student by cultivating a temporary immersion of breath and asana guided by verbal cues and hands on adjustments.

Private instruction is useful in the following situations:

  • as an evaluation session for students who want to try yoga for the first time and need some help in evaluating the appropriate level/type of class to take

  • students who prefer not to practice in a group setting

  • students who want a deep immersion and one on one attention

  • students who want to focus and develop a particular aspect of practice

Private Instruction Sessions are scheduled at your convenience and held in a lovely space that is quiet and conducive to developing your practice. Sessions are either 60 or 90 minutes in length. The cost for a 60 min private session is $75.00; the cost for 90 min is $100.00.

Yoga therapy is well suited to private instruction.  It's focus is to teach the student about the physical misalignments caused by a particular injury, postural issues or even certain disease states such as arthritis, muscular injuries, back pain whether chronic or acute.  The student is interviewed and a daily plan is recommended for the students unique circumstances.
