Jacky Kalaani

Jacky started her yoga path at a young age. After having multiple back surgeries due to scoliosis, her mother decided she would benefit from yoga. At age 15, Jacky tried her first yoga video by Rondey Yee. Being a very active runner and avid exerciser, she was skeptical. After that first session, she knew there was something more powerful to yoga than she ever imagined, but didn’t quite know what it was just yet. Yoga found her again in college when she studied with Dawn Schroeder at Baldwin Wallace. This time, yoga helped her deal with the stresses and pressures of being a student and working while in school. It was yoga that helped bring back the pleasures in her life.

She graduated college with a degree in Exercise Science and found her first job at the EMH Center for Health and Fitness as a fitness specialist, personal trainer and Spinning « instructor. After several hip and knee injuries from running, heavy workouts, and being rough on her body she decided to give yoga another try. Jacky started taking classes and learning a different approach from Kyle Solon who changed her view of yoga forever. She then knew that her life would not be complete without yoga in it. From that moment on, she knew that she needed to become a certified yoga instructor in order to continue her path in yoga as well as to help others down in their journey. At first, after becoming YogaFit« certified, Jacky needed more. She decided to enroll at Cleveland Yoga to complete her RYT-200, where she studied under Tami Schneider, Parker Bean, Jenn Harte, and many other wonderful guides.

Today Jacky brings the principles of yoga to her everyday life. She embodies these beliefs by truly living in life’s present moment. She also uses yoga philosophies in her full time job as a wellness coach, helping coach her clients to healthier life habits. During her yoga classes, she loves to combine spiritual inner awakening with a physically challenging practice to help her students rely on the breath in order to stay present in the moment. Jacky’s personal mantra is in going to the edge one will grow. Through this, she strives to share her yogic awakening with everyone she meets down her path.
