Denys Morgan, LMT, CYT, RYT has been working professionally with movement and fitness since 1986. She has an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, humor, enthusiasm, creativity, and a deep dedication to her work. As a healer, body worker and teacher, Denys relies deeply on her intuition and inspiration from her many teachers. The essence of Denys’ Sadhana (spiritual path) is prompted by her Sadguru, Sai Baba: “Love All, Serve All.” She offers her humble gratitude to all Embodiments of Love that have taught her the lessons of Life.
Denys began studying yoga in 1991 Orlando, FL and completed her teacher's training in 1991. Denys is whole-heartedly committed to the Bhakti Yoga path of love and devotion. She has developed a dynamic, eclectic blend of several styles of yoga including: Hatha, Ashtanga, and Tibetan yogic techniques. Denys is a practicing Sufi whirling dervish dancer and teaches movement meditation. For decades, Denys has done self-guided studies of: The Light of Yoga Society, The Self-Realization Fellowship and The Bihar School of Yoga. Currently, Denys is learning the teachings of John Friend's Anusara inspired yoga.
In 2007 and again in 2009, Denys traveled throughout India studying at several yoga ashrams for a period of six months each. During this time she trained privately with Brahman priests in Varanasi and while in The Himalayas she studied Vedic chanting and Vipasana. In Pune, she studied at Osho’s ashram and also training directly with Osho Masters. While in southern India, she completed a 40-day intensive study program of Kriya Yoga. In June of 2009, while in Dharamsala, she completed her International Teachers Training Program accredited through Yoga Alliance with over 500 hours of overall training in all aspects of yoga.
In February, 2010 Denys co-hosted a 10-day yoga retreat to Goa, India and between 2006 and 2009, she co-hosted two adventure yoga and surfing retreats in Costa Rica. The highlights of her yoga career have been teaching in Serbia, England, Italy, Costa Rica, India and Nigeria. While living in Costa Rica, Denys designed her new technique of practicing yoga in water which she calls “WagaSM
Denys began practicing massotherapy in 1991 and is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. Denys is trained in all the major massage modalities and specializes in Japanese Shiatsu. In 1999, she was voted "Best Massage Therapist" by The Cleveland Magazine. Since 1986, Denys has been certified through AFAA as a fitness instructor. In 1994, she received certification in personal training. In 2007, she became certified as a Pilates instructor. At the university level, Denys' education was focused on biology and psychology.
